1. Overview

Text Humanizer ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that rewrites AI-generated text to sound more natural and human. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

2. Data We Collect

• Text you choose to humanize: When you click the Humanize button, the selected text is sent to our processing server solely to generate a rewritten version. It is not stored after processing.
• License key: If you purchase a Pro plan, your license key is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local). It is sent to our server only to verify your subscription status.
• Email address (Pro users only): Collected by Stripe during checkout to deliver your license key and for billing purposes. We do not store your email independently.
• Usage count (Pro users only): We track the number of words processed per month per license key to enforce your 100,000-word monthly limit. This counter is tied to your license key, not your identity.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect browsing history, cookies, or any page content beyond the text you explicitly select and send.
• We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party data brokers.
• We do not sell or share your data with any third party except as described below.

4. Third-Party Services

• Rephrasy.ai – processes selected text to generate humanized output. Subject to their own privacy policy.
• Anthropic Claude API – used for Smart Email Reply generation. Only the email thread content you trigger is sent. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Stripe – handles payment processing. We never see or store your payment card details. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare – hosts our API proxy. Standard server logs (IP address, request timestamp) may be retained by Cloudflare per their policy.

5. Data Retention

Text submitted for humanization is not stored. License keys and monthly word-usage counters are retained in Cloudflare KV for as long as your subscription is active. Email-to-key mappings are retained to support license key recovery.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your license key and associated data at any time by contacting us. Free-plan users have no data stored on our servers beyond transient request processing.

7. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
